The Tractor-pulled Compost Turner

A tractor-driven compost turner is an efficient and economical method for composting organic waste. Designed to be connected to a tractor’s rear hitch and driven by its PTO (power take-off) system, it rapidly turns the organic waste windrow, eliminating harmful substances in the manure.

Working Principle

The device is attached to the rear of a tractor via a standard hitch and powered by the tractor’s PTO (power take-off) system. As the tractor moves along the windrow, the towed composter moves across the compost, turning the material regularly. This ensures optimal oxygen penetration and even distribution of moisture and fermentation microorganisms, allowing for rapid decomposition of organic waste and eliminating pathogens, pest eggs, and weed seeds. This is, in effect, a windrow composting method (ground fermentation), which is why it is called a towed windrow turner.
