During fertilizer granulation, the particle size requirements for raw materials vary depending on the production process. Crushing can break large materials into smaller particles, facilitating subsequent mixing, granulation, and screening.

During fertilizer production, raw materials may form large lumps or agglomerates due to factors such as fermentation and storage. Crushing is necessary to ensure smooth processing in subsequent processes.

Chain crushers are commonly used for crushing fertilizer raw materials and are classified into two types:  vertical chain crusher and horizontal chain crusher. Other crushers used include New Type Vertical Crusher ,Semi-Wet Material Crusher (for semi-wet material) ,Cage Crusher and Urea Crusher.

The Chain Crusher

Chain crushers are classified into two types based on their installation: vertical and horizontal. Vertical chain crushers have single rotors, while horizontal chain crushers have twin rotors. Chain crushers are suitable for crushing lumps in compound fertilizer production and for crushing return materials in fertilizer production.

Working Principle Of Chain Crusher

The material enters from the feed port and collides with several high-speed rotating chains (sometimes blades can be used instead of chains, depending on the situation) inside the casing. It is crushed by the impact force and then hits the inner wall of the casing. After the impact, it collides with the hammer head. After multiple impacts with different blades, it becomes powder or particles less than 3mm and is discharged from the bottom.

Working Principle Of New Type Vertical Crusher

Our new vertical crusher, designed by VEST based on practical production experience, overcomes the toughness of cow and sheep manure. The crushing process utilizes a high-strength, durable carbide chain with synchronized rotational speed.

It is particularly adaptable to materials with high moisture content, resists clogging, and ensures smooth material discharge. Material enters through the feed port, collides with the high-speed rotating chain within the machine housing, and is squeezed and crushed, ultimately discharging as powder or particles smaller than 3mm in diameter, which are then discharged from the bottom.

Semi-wet material crusher is suitable for crushing high-moisture materials, such as biological organic compost, organic material compost, straw carbon, rural straw waste, industrial organic waste, livestock and poultry manure, etc.

Working Principle Of Semi-Wet Material Crusher

This semi-wet material crusher offers a wide range of applications and high reliability, crushing hundreds of materials without clogging. It utilizes a two-stage crushing rotor, first crushing the material into fine particles and then into a fine powder, which is then discharged directly from the discharge port. It is simple to operate, requiring only one person, making it both safe and reliable, and easy to maintain.

The Cage Crusher

Cage crushers are primarily used for fine crushing and also provide a mixing function during the crushing process. They are suitable for brittle materials, especially for breaking up lumps of powdered materials.

Working Principle Of Cage Crusher

Cage crushers can crush various single fertilizers with a moisture content below 6%, and are particularly suitable for hard materials. Designed based on the impact crushing principle, these crushers feature two sets of inner and outer cage bars rotating at high speeds in opposite directions, crushing the material from the inside out. They offer a simple structure, high crushing efficiency, smooth operation, and easy cleaning and maintenance.

The Urea Crusher

The urea crusher is an industrial device designed specifically for breaking down urea granules. Its expertise also extends to the water-soluble fertilizer industry, enabling it to crush a variety of fertilizers to the desired size.

Working Principle Of Urea Crusher

It primarily utilizes abrasive shearing between a high-speed roller and a concave plate. The size of the gap determines the degree of material crushing, and the roller speed and diameter are adjustable.

After entering the machine, urea impacts the machine wall and baffles, breaking it into powder. The rack between the roller and concave plate is adjusted to adjust the degree of crushing within a range of 3-12 mm. The feed inlet adjustment mechanism controls production volume.
