Working Principle

The trough compost turner moves back and forth along the fermentation tank, while the toothed compost turning shaft rotates at high speed, turning and crushing the materials in the tank and throwing them backwards. During the turning process, the organic fertilizer is fully exposed to the air, which not only increases the oxygen content of the pile, but also evaporates excess water, reduces the temperature of the pile, and keeps the temperature between 60℃ and 70℃, so that the organic waste can be composted quickly.

What precautions should be taken when using a trough composting machine?

Adjusting Humidity Before Composting
Before composting, it’s important to note that pure livestock and poultry manure should not be directly piled into the compost trench. Because different materials have different moisture contents, the moisture content of the materials should be between 50% and 60% when entering the trench. If it reaches 70% to 80%, supplementary materials such as agricultural waste straw and sawdust should be added to reduce the moisture content and increase the organic matter content.
Maintain the compost temperature in the trough between 60% and 70%
The optimal fermentation temperature for raw materials is 60-70°C. When the temperature exceeds 70°C, it’s time to start turning the materials. A thermometer can be used to check the temperature.
