A rotary drum granulator is a machine that shapes materials into specific shapes. A key piece of equipment in the compound fertilizer industry, the rotary drum granulator is suitable for both cold and hot granulation, as well as the large-scale production of high-, medium-, and low-concentration compound fertilizers.
It primarily operates through wet granulation. A certain amount of water or steam is used to moisten the base fertilizer within the drum, allowing it to undergo a full chemical reaction. Under certain liquid conditions, the drum’s rotation creates a squeezing force between the material particles, causing them to agglomerate into spheres.
